Nicki Barry: Town Clerk

I have lived in Tadley for most of my life. I went to Burnham Copse Infant and Junior Schools and then to The Hurst. I worked at AWE for 4 years and then left to do a degree in Library and Information Studies. I then took a couple of years off work when I had my son Joel. When Joel was two I returned to work and worked for Bayer for 10 years.
In August 2001 I joined Tadley Town Council and really enjoying working here, the work is interesting and certainly varied.
My hobbies include walking, reading, going to the pub and I am also a Councillor for Baughurst Parish Council.
Dorothy Oakley: Assistant Clerk
I moved into the area in 1989 and I have lived in Tadley since 1996, joining Tadley Town Council in April 2006. Previously, I worked as a Human Resources manager in Reading until August 2005 when I took voluntary redundancy.
I am married and have two grown up daughters. Due to my husband’s job we have lived in a number of places throughout the country so I have had a variety of jobs over the years, including Parish Clerk in a village in Derbyshire during the 1980s. I am enjoying my job as Assistant Clerk with the Town Council very much and it is interesting to learn more about Tadley. In my spare time I like gardening, reading, crosswords, travel, theatre and needlecrafts.
John Lawson: Handyman/Gardner

I have lived in the area for 55 years. My first job was in the Junior Tradesman's Regiment in North Wales where I worked as radio/driver operator. I served as a Fireman for 27 years working for the MOD . I joined Tadley Town Council in September 2003.
My hobbies include motorcycling, going to the pub and gardening.
Roy Martin: Handyman

I was born in Baughurst and have lived in the area for 60 years. My first job when I left school was a gamekeeper, I then worked on farms and then went on to spend several years in the building industry. I worked at AWE for 21 years in Emergency response Department. I joined Tadley Town Council in November 2003.
My hobbies include walking a friend's dog and watching Formula 1.
Kenny Long: Handyman

I have lived in the area for 45 years. When I left school I spent several years in the building trade. I then did various different manual jobs including 7 years at AWE driving. I joined Tadley Town Council in June 2004.
My hobbies include gardening and watching motor racing.
